This is a new style ear flap hat that's knitted rather than crocheted.  It's all Corriedale wool and is two-ply throughout for extra warmth and thickness.  Some of the yarn is hand painted and therefore variegated.  The ear flaps fully cover the ears even though they don't have ties.  Ties can be added if desired, but I like the turned up look that happens without them.  If I get positive feedback on the new style, I'll make more.
