This is a medium length skull cap designed to cover about half of the ears.  It would most likely cover all of the ears on a child.  The bright red wide stripe and small circle at the top are organic cotton.  The lavender section is also organic cotton.  The darker lavender/purple near the edge, the teal & rusty red around the top, and the lighter teal blue (it's actually more of an aqua) are all linen.  The gold accent stripes are tussah silk.  This hat would fit either an adult or child age six or over.  Probably a bit too big for a smaller child.
